Privacy Policy

Traxdrop is a small independent project. No institutional investors or large corporations of any kind have anything to do with this project. We take your privacy very seriously, and believe in protecting your information the same way we want ours protected. This Privacy Policy outlines how we treat your information.

Information Collected

We only collect information needed in order for you to use the service.

If you're accessing promos, this is only your email address and possibly your full name.

If you're distributing promos, we capture just enough information to create your public profile. We also link with your Dropbox - but we can only access the special Traxdrop folder, and absolutely nothing else in your Dropbox.

We never share email addresses

That's right. We stricly use your email address to secure access to your account and nothing else. If you access an artist's promos, they never get to see your full email address. We present a redacted version so they can identify you as a subscriber of their promos - which looks something like this 'su****@pr****'. To avoid presenting even a redacted version of your email adress, simply supply your full name in your account.

We promise to never sell your data and we also promise to never make changes to this policy in order to allow selling your data in the future.

Security

The reason that we use a "magic link" log in system is that it's more secure than typical password-based systems. As long as access to your email is secure, then nobody except you can access your account. Besides that, you should know that we use industry-standard best practices to secure our server and database against intrusions from hackers.

Privacy Policy Changes

We may make changes to our Privacy Policy at some point. If we do, you should know that the new Privacy Policy will be posted on this page and you will receive an email letting you know about the change.
